SoCal SuperTrucks Backed Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC – KTM – WPS just announced the signing of Blake Baggett to a new three-year team agreement that will see Blake with the team through the 2021 racing season.
“I am extremely excited to announce my extended partnership with the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC – KTM – WPS team,” said Baggett. “The past two seasons have been what I was looking for in the 450 class, and I absolutely love the KTM. Working with Rocky Mountain ATV/MC as a title sponsor has brought the family part of racing back to me, and the same goes for the WPS/FLY Racing crew. The entire team has not only given me the tools I need to win but, most of all, the trust and comfort that I know I need to win a 450 championship. I am excited for what the future holds and just can’t thank all the team sponsors enough for putting this deal together.”

Blake Baggett entered into the Foxborough track willing and ready. He squirted out of the gate in his first heat, just missing the holeshot. He would go on to battle for the lead throughout the race, but ultimately lose a position, but still podium. Baggett would get another great start in the main event that put him within the top five early on in the race. He kept on charging, and would battle his way up to 4th place by the midpoint of the race. Keeping his lines, and staying focused, he held off the competition, and crossed the line in that position.

Blake Baggett’s night started off on a high note with a great start in the first of the three races Saturday night in Indianapolis. He would launch out of the line in 6th, the position he would ultimately cross the checkered flag in. For main event two, he performed even better, as he was able to obtain the hole shot, and ride in the front of the pack the entire race before dropping some positions and finishing 5th. In the last main event race of the night, it was deja vu all over again, as Blake again started up in the front. Unfortunately, at around the mid-point of the race, he ran into an issue that had him fall back to the very end of the field. But they don’t call him El Chupacabra for nothing! He put his head down and with tenacity charged his way back through the field to finish just outside the top 10, taking home a 12th place. His 6-5-12 score would place him in 8th overall for the night.
