Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC decended upon the pacific Northwest for round nine of the 2019 Pro Motocross Championship at Washougal MX in Washougal, WA this past weekend. With Blake Baggett sitting out this round, team riders Justin Bogle and Benny Bloss were ready to hold it down for the team.
Justin Bogle did not get the greatest of starts in Moto One, as he finished the first lap outside the top twenty. He would go on to put in a charge through the field and work his way up to just outside the top ten to finish in 12th place at the checkered flag. Justin came back in Moto Two with a much better start putting him inside the front pack. He put up the good fight, battling within the top ten throughout the moto finishing 11th, and finishing 11th overall for the day.
It was a tough weekend for theTeam Rocky Mountain ATV/MC as round eight of the 2019 Pro Motocross Championship came to Spring Creek MX in Millville, MN.
Blake Baggett’s first moto did not go as well as planed, as he would run into a big pileup right after turn one with a number of riders including Jason Anderson. He would soon go down again right after trying to make passes in the same section, as riders were going everywhere with the first lap conditions. As if that wasn’t a rough enough start, Blake went down for a third time on lap two on the face of the large catapult jump. Where most riders would call it a moto, #4 just put his head down, pulled a tear-off from his goggles and found a rhythm that would bring him from nearly a lap down back up to 17th position at the checkered flag. A better start in the second moto allowed Blake to battle inside the top ten the whole moto, crossing the finish line in 9th place at the checkered flag. He would earn 12th overall for the day.
It was a top ten weekend for Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC this past weekend for round seven of the 2019 Pro Motocross Championship at RedBud MX in Buchanan, MI.
Blake Baggett rocketed out of the gate in moto one and found himself inside the top battling inside the top five early on in the race. The number 4 kept the charge, crossing the checkered flag in 5th place. Blake would have another great start, as he grabbed the holeshot, again battling inside the top five until going down late in the race. He would recover and mount a charge through the field to finish 9th, taking 7th overall for the day.
It was fun in the sand as Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC visited The Wick 338 in Southwick, MA this past weekend for round six of the 2019 Pro Motocross Championship.
Blake Baggett started moto one just outside the top ten and kept the charge pushing his way into the top ten five minutes into the race. After slipping back a few spots, a late race push kept him battling inside the top ten, taking the checkered flag in 10th. Blake would have a challenging second moto. After rounding the first turn inside the lead pack, he found himself going backward outside the top ten. He would quickly recover, and moved forward to earn 12th overall for the day.
“Today was tough. While I had the speed out there, I’m disappointed in this weekend’s performance. We will regroup and be ready to fight for a podium spot this weekend at RedBud.”Blake Baggett
The California Coastal Commission, a non-elected body, will be meeting on Thursday, July 11th, at the Embassy Suites Hotel in San Luis Obispo to consider the continued use of the OHV area at Oceano Dunes.
We are, quite literally, in the final phases of keeping or losing our local dunes for offroad use – forever. These efforts may come in a full outright closure or under the guise of a slow erosion of dune accessibility prohibiting night riding, increasing enforcement and adding more fences at the park, reducing daily use limits, and more until a full and eventual closure goes in effect.
