Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC came back to the West coast for round 12 of the 2019 AMA Supercross season at Century Link Field in Seattle, WA this past Saturday night.
Blake Baggett started the night as he has been lately, rocketing out of the gate in his heat race and leading the field around the first turn to grab the holeshot. Before long he found himself in a battle that between he and the top five riders going back and forth for position. Eventually, a slight bobble would cause him to slide him back a few spots, and Blake would cross the checkered flag in 5th place securing a transfer spot straight to the main. At the start of the main event, despite being stood up on the outside of turn one, Blake worked his way from the tail end of the top ten early in the race. He then set his sights forward and commenced a charge through the field to a 7th place finish as the checkered flag came out.
“It was an ok night,” said Baggett. “I felt good out there tonight, just didn’t get the start I needed and didn’t start moving forward until mid-race. We’ll keep chipping away at this as we are still right there in the championship and ready to get back onto the podium at Houston next weekend.”
Justin Bogle took advantage of a good start in his heat race to finish inside the top ten. He would ride confidently, and worked his way up to 7th at the checkered flag to secure a spot in the main event. Justin would go on to ride a solid main event. After rounding the first lap buried in the pack, he turned on the power and worked his way up to just outside the top ten to finish 11th for the night.
