SoCal SuperTrucks backed Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC returned to racing as round four of the 2019 Pro Motocross Championship series decende upon High Point MX in Mt. Morris, PA this past weekend. Blake Baggett would earn a moto win, Justin Bogle finished inside the top ten once again and Benny Bloss joined his teammates returning to action after recovering from his pre-season injury.
Blake Baggett looked refreshed from the break and put in the 3rd fastest time around the High Point track in morning qualifying. He kept the momentum going in moto one as he launched out of the gate leading the field into the first turn to secure the holeshot. He stayed on the gas, as he held off a charge from Eli Tomac and pulled out a sizable lead to run away with the moto win. Moto two wouldn’t start as well as the first, as Blake slipped back to the tail end of the top ten after the first lap. He feverishly started working his way forward just outside the top five until going down hard mid-race. Blake would remount to finish 15th, earning 7th overall for the day.
“Not the finish I had hoped,” said Baggett. “I was riding well out there and felt that I could have earned the overall today. I just had a little mistake that cost me. Today was a positive step forward, and I am looking forward to WW Ranch next weekend.”
Justin Bogle had another solid weekend inside the top ten at High Point. As moto one started, he rounded the first turn inside the top ten and kept the charge to take the checkered flag in 9th. A start outside the top ten in moto two had Justin digging deep working his way forward. He would make his way into the top ten early in the race and then work his way to 8th at the checkered flag, ending the day 9th overall.
“Another solid day,” said Bogle. “I felt confident out there today and am happy with my ride. It’s a process, so we’ll keep moving forward in the right direction and will be ready at WW Ranch next weekend.”
Benny Bloss made his return to racing this past weekend since injuring his knee before the Supercross season. After working the kinks out in practice, moto one started with Benny rounding the first lap just outside the top fifteen then quickly starting to work his way forward for 14th at the checkered flag. Benny shot out of the gate in moto two allowing him to battle inside the top ten for most of the race, taking the checkers in 9th to earn an impressive 12th place overall in his first race back.
