Blake Baggett #4 – RMATVMC KTM 450SX
In Moto 1, Blake got a great jump out of the gate and ended up coming out of the first turn in 2nd Place. In the next corner he would catch a deep rut and would slip back to about 6th Place. After just a few laps, Baggett would find his way up to 3rd Place and on the hunt for the lead. Blake was riding incredible and with 20 mins left in the moto, he was in 2nd and could see the Australian leader, Dean Faris. Blake would make quick work of Faris and would begin to pull away with the lead. He would Win moto 1 by more than 20 seconds to keep the confidence rolling.
In Moto 2, Baggett would round the first turn in about 4th Place, but a deep rut would shift his bike into neutral causing him to slip back to about 8th Place. Blake would waste no time and begin to pick off riders one by one. He would move all the way up to 2nd Place before they reached the half way mark and would start to charge for the lead. He would make up a few seconds on Tomac within the next couple laps, but would make the smart decision to back it off and ride a smart race to get the Overall Win for the day with a 1-2 finish. This overall win would give Baggett the Overall Championship Points Lead and the Red Number Plate going into Tennessee.
Dakota Alix #70 – RMATVMC KTM 450SX
In Moto 1, Dakota didn’t get the start he wanted and would find himself just inside the Top 20. He would begin picking off riders as he found his lines. Alix moved up to 15th Place by the half way point and riding solid. He would hold his spot in 15th until the checkered flag.
In Moto 2, Alix got off to a decent start and would find himself in about 13th Place. He would ride a solid race and limit his mistakes in Moto 2. This solid ride would earn him a better result from Moto 1 and he would finish the race in 13th Place for a 14th Overall on the day with a 15-13.
Broc Tickle #20 – Yoshimura RCH Suzuki RM-Z450
In Moto 1, Broc would come out of the first turn in about 10th Place and would have his work cut out for him on this brutal track. By the half way point, Tickle had moved up to 7th Place and still looking for more. He would put in an incredible charge and move all the way up to 4th Place by the end of Moto 1.
In Moto 2, Broc would rocket out of the gate and come out of the first turn with the holeshot! With Anderson and Tomac just behind him, it made for a great battle for the first couple laps. Tickle would settle in 3rd and continue to charge. He would end up passing Anderson back to move into 2nd Place. Baggett was charging hard and would pass both Anderson and Tickle to put Tickle back to the 3rd Spot and this would allow Anderson to follow Baggett around Tickle and put Tickle back to the 4th spot. Broc rode a great race and would finish Moto 2 in 4th Place to earn him a 3rd Place overall and a Podium for the day!!
