Start
Round 11
of the 2017 Monster Energy Supercross series was held at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN.  The track held some tricky rhythms and some tight corners that would be challenging to the riders. The plus side to this tricky track was the amazing dirt conditions.

Blake Baggett #4RMATVMC KTM 450SX
BB 4Blake would head into the night show on a high note and grab the holeshot in his Heat Race! Blake would lose the lead shortly after lap 1 to his teammate Davi Millsaps. Blake would charge and come back to challenge Davi, but wouldn’t be able to make a pass stick. Marvin Musquin would end up chasing down Blake to take over the second spot and set Blake back to Third. Blake would charge and finish within just a couple seconds of the leader right behind teammate Davi. Blake would finish 3rd and earn a transfer spot to the Main Event.
Blake HoleshotIn the Main Event, Blake would get a great jump again and grab another holeshot! He would hold onto the lead for a few laps until Eli Tomac would make a hard charge to pass for the lead. With a slight mistake in the whoops right after the pass, Dungey would catch right up to the back of Baggett. Just a few corners later, Dungey would strike and put Blake back to the 3rd spot. Musquin would be close behind in fourth and was charging BB Cornerhard to earn a podium position. A mistake about half way through the race would cause Blake to go down and lose a lot of time but only one position. He would get back on the bike and find himself in 4th place. Luckily he didn’t go down too hard and would be able to ride his way to the checkered flag and finish in 4th. Blake rode a great race and can’t wait to get back out there next weekend in Detroit.

Musquin would charge hard to try to make a pass on Millsaps and eventually made an aggressive pass to jump right in front of Millsaps before the finish line for the white flag. Millsaps tried to fight back, but with the challenge of lap traffic wouldn’t be able to retaliate and would finish 2nd in Heat 2.
