New Jersey Supercross 2017 – SoCal SuperTrucks

Round 16
of the 2017 Monster Energy Supercross was held at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, NY.  Our sponsored riders Blake Baggett #4 and Davi Millsaps #18 are currently tied in overall points coming into this race and will definitely be fighting to see who will stay on top between the two teammates.

Blake Baggett #4RMATVMC KTM 450SX
In his Heat Race, Blake got a great start and would find himself in 2nd right behind Ryan Dungey. With a great start, Blake was able to ride his own race without any challengers. He minimized his mistakes and put in consistent laps throughout the whole race to finish in 2nd behind Dungey and earn a transfer spot to the Main Event.
In the Main Event, Blake didn’t get the start he needed and would come out of the first turn in about 10th Place. Blake had his work cut out for him on this tough track. If he wanted to stay in the points chase with teammate Davi Millsaps who got a 2nd Place start, he would really have to push himself. Blake did just that and quickly began making his way around one rider after another. He would make his way all the way up to 5th Place and finish the race 1 position behind his teammate Davi Millsaps. This would put Blake 2 points down in overall points from Millsaps with 1 round to go!

Davi Millsaps #18RMATVMC KTM 450SX
In his Heat Race, Davi got a great jump and would find himself sitting in 2nd Place and looking at a transfer spot straight to the Main Event if he could minimize his mistakes on this tough track. Millsaps would slip back a position to put him in 3rd with current points leader Eli Tomac coming up quick and looking to challenge Davi. Davi would hold his composure and put in a solid ride to hold off Tomac and take the 3rd spot for an instant transfer to the Main Event.
In the Main Event, Davi got another great jump out of the gate and came out of the first corner in 2nd Place! Millsaps had to be pumped on this start in hopes to gain some points and try to run away from teammate Blake Baggett who he was tied with in overall points for the 2017 Supercross Season coming into this race. Ryan Dungey would get around Millsaps early on to put Millsaps in 3rd. Millsaps put in a solid ride and would end up finishing the race in 4th just ahead of his teammate Blake Baggett to take back the advantage in points over Baggett by 2  going into the final round in Las Vegas, NV.

Broc Tickle #20 – Yoshimura RCH Suzuki RM-Z450
Broc Tickle is out for the rest of the 2017 Supercross Season due to an injury sustained during practice leading up to the New Jersey SX. With just 2 rounds left, he will sit out and hope to heal up before the Outdoors and come back strong. It has been stated that Tickle has a broken wrist bone.
