It was fun in the sand as Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC visited The Wick 338 in Southwick, MA this past weekend for round six of the 2019 Pro Motocross Championship.
Blake Baggett started moto one just outside the top ten and kept the charge pushing his way into the top ten five minutes into the race. After slipping back a few spots, a late race push kept him battling inside the top ten, taking the checkered flag in 10th. Blake would have a challenging second moto. After rounding the first turn inside the lead pack, he found himself going backward outside the top ten. He would quickly recover, and moved forward to earn 12th overall for the day.
“Today was tough. While I had the speed out there, I’m disappointed in this weekend’s performance. We will regroup and be ready to fight for a podium spot this weekend at RedBud.”Blake Baggett
Justin Bogle launched out of the gate and found himself inside the top ten after rounding the first turn. After sliding back a few sports, the number 19 kept the charge to take the checkered flag in 11th. Moto two had Justin battling inside the top ten early in the race. He found his pace in the deep sand, riding consistently to cross the finish line just outside the top ten to earn 11th overall.
“It was an ok day. This track is always a challenge. My starts were there today and that helped. I’ll carry that momentum and will be ready at RedBud next week.” Justin Bogle
At one of his favorite tracks on the circuit, Benny Bloss dug deep for a solid ride in moto one. After starting deep in the top twenty, he found his rhythm in the sand and worked his way forward and into the top ten. Hitting his marks and gaining on the riders in front of him, he crossed the finish line in 9th. After rounding the first turn deep in the top twenty in the second moto, Benny put in a charge to the front to break into the top ten by the second lap. While battling for position, he would go down hard ending his day. Benny showed his speed both motos and earned 14th overall for the day.
