It was a tough weekend for theTeam Rocky Mountain ATV/MC as round eight of the 2019 Pro Motocross Championship came to Spring Creek MX in Millville, MN.
Blake Baggett’s first moto did not go as well as planed, as he would run into a big pileup right after turn one with a number of riders including Jason Anderson. He would soon go down again right after trying to make passes in the same section, as riders were going everywhere with the first lap conditions. As if that wasn’t a rough enough start, Blake went down for a third time on lap two on the face of the large catapult jump. Where most riders would call it a moto, #4 just put his head down, pulled a tear-off from his goggles and found a rhythm that would bring him from nearly a lap down back up to 17th position at the checkered flag. A better start in the second moto allowed Blake to battle inside the top ten the whole moto, crossing the finish line in 9th place at the checkered flag. He would earn 12th overall for the day.
SoCal SuperTrucks Backed Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC traveled south as the second round of the 2019 Pro Motocross Championship series made it’s return to Southern California’s Pala Raceway since 2011 this past weekend.
Blake Baggett started out the morning by setting the 5th fastest lap in practice, then timed the gate perfectly in moto one, leading the field into the first turn to grab the holeshot. Early on in the race he would then find himself under attack from the rest of the riders, and shuffled back to 2nd. Then after a pass by Anderson he dropped down to 3rd. Blake fought back, passing Anderson for 2nd and then ran Roczen down quickly to battle for the lead as they headed into the third lap. Blake would run into something in the track headed into turn one that was so solid, it bent his front wheel, and more forcing him to stop for a front wheel change in the pits. Unfortunately, he jammed his throttle wrist in the impact as well. He would go out and race Moto 2, but the pain in his wrist from the first moto crash proved too much to stay with the lead pack. Blake would continue till the end to grab what will be critical championship points come the end of the season.
The gate dropped on the opening round of the 2019 Pro Motocross Championship series at Northern California’s Hangtown MX outdoor national last weekend. It was a special race as Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC came together with 51Fifty Energy Drink and the Carlos Vieria Foundation to dedicate this round to Autism Awareness. With the bikes running special graphics from HBD MotoGrafx, Blake Baggett started the season with an 8th place finish, and teammate Justin Bogle secured a 10th place finish
As the gate dropped for moto one, Blake Baggett shot off the line to round the first turn just outside the top five. He then wasted no time making the move for 5th place. Blake kept the charge and as the rain started to come down, he would slide back one spot taking the checkered flag in 6th. The rain didn’t stop for moto two, but Blake stayed on the throttle at the start and finished lap one inside the front pack. After slipping back outside the top ten mid-race due to worsening track conditions, Blake navigated the muddy track fighting his way to 10th place at the checkered flag, earning 8th overall for the day.
Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC traveled to the mile high city as round 15 of the 2019 AMA Supercross season made a return after 23 years to Denver, CO and Broncos Stadium at Mile High this past Saturday night. It would be another top ten night for the team, as Justin Bogle rode to a rock-solid fourth place, and Blake Baggett made his way through the field to finish in sixth place.
Blake Baggett rocketed out of the gate in his heat and rounded the first turn just behind his teammate. He kept pace with the leader until a slight bobble on the last lap pushed him back one spot, crossing the finish line in the number 3 position. Blake started the main event with his work cut out for him as he came to the first turn at the in tenth place. He charged forward and made his way to just outside the top five by the middle of the race. Blake put on a late race charge but unfortunately ran out of time, crossing the checkered flag in 6th place.
SoCal SuperTrucks backed Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC -KTM-WPS had a top ten night at round 4 of the 2019 Supercross season inside the Oakland Co. Coliseum in Oakland, CA this past Saturday night. Team riders Blake Baggett rode to his second podium of the season, and Justin Bogle secured his first top ten finish of the year.
Blake Baggett rode fast all through the day on the track at Oakland. In his heat race, he rocketed out of the gate and rounded the first turn ahead of the pack, securing the holeshot. He would go on to lose a couple positions, but continued to ride strong to take the checkered flag in third earning him a transfer straight to the main. Blake’s main event was exciting to say the least! Starting from outside the top ten in 17th place, he set his sights on the front of the pack. He would put on a charge, overtaking riders 1 by 1 ahead of him. The number 4 worked his way from 17th all the way up to 3rd place with 5 minutes left to go in the race!
