It was a tough night for Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC -KTM-WPS as round six of the 2019 AMA Supercross season traveled to US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, MN this past Saturday night.
Blake Baggett started the day looking fast on the Minneapolis track as he recorded the 5th fastest time of the day in qualifying. In his heat race he would rocket out of the gate and round the first turn inside the top three. Blake hit his lines every lap and rode strong to finish 5th, transferring straight to the main. Another great start in the main event had Blake rounding the first turn inside the top four. He would ride a calculated race, keeping the pressure on Ken Roczen for over ¾ of the race until making his move towards the front and for 3rd place. His night would take a turn for the worse, however, when he mistimed a set of rollers and crashed hard. After catching his breath, Blake would get up with only minor bruises and ride back to the pits on his own power ending his night.
SoCal SuperTrucks backed Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC -KTM-WPS had a top ten night at round 4 of the 2019 Supercross season inside the Oakland Co. Coliseum in Oakland, CA this past Saturday night. Team riders Blake Baggett rode to his second podium of the season, and Justin Bogle secured his first top ten finish of the year.
Blake Baggett rode fast all through the day on the track at Oakland. In his heat race, he rocketed out of the gate and rounded the first turn ahead of the pack, securing the holeshot. He would go on to lose a couple positions, but continued to ride strong to take the checkered flag in third earning him a transfer straight to the main. Blake’s main event was exciting to say the least! Starting from outside the top ten in 17th place, he set his sights on the front of the pack. He would put on a charge, overtaking riders 1 by 1 ahead of him. The number 4 worked his way from 17th all the way up to 3rd place with 5 minutes left to go in the race! He remained focused and hit all his marks to finish the night in 3rd, picking up his second podium of the year. With four rounds completed, Blake moves to 7th in the championship points standings.
