It was a top ten weekend for Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC this past weekend for round seven of the 2019 Pro Motocross Championship at RedBud MX in Buchanan, MI.
Blake Baggett rocketed out of the gate in moto one and found himself inside the top battling inside the top five early on in the race. The number 4 kept the charge, crossing the checkered flag in 5th place. Blake would have another great start, as he grabbed the holeshot, again battling inside the top five until going down late in the race. He would recover and mount a charge through the field to finish 9th, taking 7th overall for the day.
“I am happy with my ride today” said Baggett. “My starts helped me get up in the front pack and had the speed to battle at the front. I just had a little mistake in the second moto that cost me. We will be ready in two weeks at Spring Creek to fight for a podium.”
Justin Bogle timed the gate perfectly in moto one, as he rounded the first corner and took the lead early in the race. Out in front, he had a clear view of the track and controlled the pace of the race, leading the pack for over half the moto. He would slide back only a few spots, riding strong to a 4th place finish. Another solid start in the second moto had Justin going around the first corner inside the top three. He continued to fight for position, taking the checkered flag in 6th place and earning 6th overall for the day.
“I felt good out there today,” said Bogle. “My starts were there today and I showed that I have the speed to run at the front. This was a major step in the right direction and we’ll take the week off to do some work and be ready at Spring Creek in two weeks.”
Benny Bloss continues to improve with each race. After starting deep in the top twenty in moto one, Benny carved through the field and worked his way forward inside the top ten taking the checkered flag in 9th place. Benny would have to work his way through the field again in moto two. He worked his way again into the top ten, crossing the finish line in 8th, earning 8th overall for the day.
